Real estate disputes are common and involve many different parties, such as: landlord/tenant, buyer/seller, builder/buyer, builder/subcontractor, owner/HOA, owner/tax assessor, realtor/client, owner/insurer, neighbors etc. and involve many different issues, such as: contractual disputes over purchases, leases, and many other matters, evictions, construction defects, mechanics liens, damages to individuals and property, property values, HOA rules and regulations, boundary lines, easements, nuisances etc. Often such disputes are very emotionally charged and involve significant amounts of money. Mediation is ideal for many of these situations, since it provides a forum for parties to control their emotions while constructively discussing potential solutions which are often much more flexible and accommodating to the individual interests of the parties, than the outcomes achieved through litigation.
